Job Description
The Sales Executive owns the complete sales cycle — from prospect identification through client handover — for Merciglobal's SaaS Product and ERP Software. The role covers lead generation, qualification, demonstrations, proposal development, commercial negotiation, deal closure, and structured handover to the Projects team. Disciplined CRM usage and professional client engagement are non-negotiable.
Compensation Note:
Sales Executives are eligible for performance-based incentives under the Sales Incentive Policy (separate documents for the SaaS Product and ERP Software). Monthly targets and slab structures are detailed in those policy documents.
Key Result Areas
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
• Generate leads through field visits, referrals, digital channels, and industry events
• Log every lead in CRM immediately with full details — spreadsheets, notebooks, or messaging apps are not permitted as substitutes
2. Lead Qualification
• Assess client requirement, budget, project scope, and decision-maker before pursuing
• Tag every prospect as Hot / Warm / Cold in CRM and update status after each interaction
3. Product Presentation & Client Engagement
• Customise the pitch to the client's industry and pain points
• Deliver online and on-site product demonstrations as required
• Meet daily follow-up quotas with timely, professional communication
4. Proposal Development & Commercial Negotiation
• Use only company-approved quotation formats — no informal pricing
• Record proposal value, version, and validity in CRM for every submission
• Submit proposals within 24 hours of client request
• Do not commit to scope, discounts, or timelines outside approved limits
5. Documentation & Project Handover
• Collect Purchase Order, KYC documents, and payment confirmation before handover
• Prepare a complete handover note covering client background, identified pain points, customisation asks, agreed timelines, and any special conditions
6. Daily CRM Administration
• CRM must be updated by end of day — no update = no work done
• Attend daily morning briefings and weekly performance reviews
• Maintain calendar discipline for meetings, demos, and follow-ups
7. Professional Conduct
• Adhere to formal attire and grooming standards at all client interactions
• Maintain respectful, professional communication; do not enter into informal commitments or personal relationships with clients
• Follow the Sales SOP at all times
