Net Amount Columns, Smarter E-Way Bills, and Hourly Attendance Sync

August brings clearer financial views, automated state codes for E-Way bills, and faster attendance data sync via API.

This month's release focuses on reducing manual data entry and giving finance and operations teams clearer visibility into key figures. Whether you're processing debit notes, generating E-Way bills, or syncing attendance from biometric devices, these updates remove friction from daily workflows.

Clearer Financial Views with Net Amount Columns

  • Debit and Credit Notes now display a dedicated 'Net Amount' column in list view, calculated as Amount minus TDS Amount.
  • Taxable Amount has been added to the outstanding bill list and adjustment grid, making reconciliation faster.
  • Discount % and other percentage columns now calculate against Taxable Amount instead of Net Amount for more accurate pricing logic.

E-Way Bill Generation Gets Smarter

  • The State Code for ship-to party now auto-populates from the Account Master, eliminating manual lookup errors.
  • This reduces compliance risks and speeds up dispatch documentation for logistics teams.

Teams managing attendance via API integration will notice a significant improvement: data now syncs every hour instead of requiring manual triggers. A new validation option under Utility → Print/Msg/Email/API lets you check and verify incoming attendance records before they hit payroll, catching errors early.

Printing and Invoicing Improvements

  • Credit and Debit Note printing now supports multi-page output for longer documents.
  • Multiple E-Invoice printing is available as a checkbox within the batch invoice print dialog—no need to print one at a time.

On the master data side, the City Master now links directly to the State Master, ensuring consistent state selection across forms. For developers building custom workflows, the new __onSubgridClosed() event provides a hook to trigger actions when users close subgrid views.

These updates reflect feedback from textile, trading, and paper industry clients who need faster compliance workflows and cleaner financial reporting. As always, reach out to your account manager if you have questions about any of these changes.
