Choosing an ERP for a paper mill is different from a generic deployment. Here is the checklist we use with every new paper-industry client.
Paper manufacturing combines continuous process flow with discrete order fulfillment, which makes ERP selection unusually tricky. Off-the-shelf systems rarely cover both sides well.
Our standard discovery checklist:
- Reel-wise traceability from pulp to dispatch
- GSM / BF based pricing and quality control
- Steam, power and water consumption tracking per machine
- Reject and broke handling with re-pulping accounting
- Customer-specific reel slitting and trim optimization
