The engine pairs IN and OUT across several cycles a day, closes a night shift with the next morning's punch, and counts a day shift and a night shift on the same date as two attendances.

Payroll & compliance

One run pays monthly, per-day, hourly and piece-rate workers from attendance and each salary structure — overtime, incentives, bonus, arrears, fines and loss-of-pay included. Production pay settles only unpaid lines, loan EMIs through the bank and in cash stay apart, and PF, ESI, PT, TDS and LWF challans are built from the locked payroll.

The portal works in any phone browser, and native apps are on the way. Staff punch in within the unit's geo-fence, apply for leave or on-duty, ask for a punch correction, download payslips and documents and submit expense bills. Routine queries stop landing at the HR window.

A wall-mounted Android tablet at the gate recognises enrolled employees and records the punch straight into HRMS — no cards to share, no fingers on a reader. Face data is enrolled only with the employee's consent, stored encrypted and kept for your company alone. Face attendance is now starting its first factory pilots.
Two native apps sit alongside: Merci HRMS for employees (punch, leave, payslips, requests) and Merci HRMS Admin for managers, who approve leave, on-duty, punch corrections, expenses and payroll from a push notification.
